[[UniFi]] Wireless Distribution System # Features ## Manufacturer compatibility WDS has many functions, but some are not cross-compatible between different manufactures' firmware on their devices. * Preserving the MAC address - AFAIK there is no incompatibility between different manufactures' FW. * Store-and-forward WDS based wireless repeating - That's a crap shot. It might, but more often won't work between different manufactures' FW. * Store-and-forward wireless repeating not WDS based - Pretty much always works. Manufactures that advertise a "universal repeater" use this.
